Sanas Acquires Tomato.ai to Deliver Real-Time Speech AI at the Systems Level

Today we're thrilled to announce that Sanas has acquired Tomato.ai, the leader in zero-shot, real-time voice transformation technology in the industry.
The acquisition significantly strengthens our intellectual property portfolio: Sanas now holds 8 patents covering real-time speech processing, voice transformation, and low-latency inference. As an AI lab, this marks a major step forward in our mission to make speech work reliably and intelligently everywhere communication happens at scale, and it accelerates our ability to deliver that directly inside the live communications environments where it matters most.
Why Tomato.ai
Voice has always been at the center of how enterprises, platforms, and carriers operate. But the technology layer supporting real-time communication has consistently lagged behind the demands placed on it. Tomato.ai has spent years solving exactly that problem: building speech transformation that works not as a bolt-on feature, but as a native component inside live, high-volume communication systems.
Their production-grade integrations across VoIP environments, communications platforms, and carrier-adjacent systems are a direct complement to what we've been building at Sanas. Together, we move significantly faster toward a world where real-time speech enhancement, accent transformation, and language understanding run natively inside the platforms and networks enterprises depend on.
What This Means for Our Platform
We never stop obsessing over what speech can do, which has led us to build a real-time speech processing layer that operates inside live communications systems, not on top of them. Scale, reliability, and low-latency performance aren't nice-to-haves in this environment. They're the baseline.
With Tomato's technology and deep operational experience now part of Sanas, we're expanding that capability across enterprise environments, carrier networks, and communications platforms - as well as latency-sensitive use cases in gaming, live streaming, and interactive media.
“Voice sits at the center of how enterprises and platforms operate, yet the technology supporting real-time communication has lagged behind. Bringing Tomato.ai into Sanas accelerates our ability to make speech work reliably and consistently anywhere communication happens at scale."Sharath Keshava Narayana | CEO & Co-founder, Sanas
Welcoming Ofer Ronen
We're thrilled to welcome Tomato.ai co-founder Ofer Ronen to Sanas to lead our global telecom strategy. Ofer is a serial entrepreneur who has founded and exited three companies, including two acquired by Google and one by IAC. He brings rare experience operating at the carrier and platform level, and a clear-eyed view of what it takes to embed speech AI where it actually runs, not where it's easy to demo.
What's Next
Since going to market in 2023, we've grown from zero to $60M in ARR and we're on track to surpass $120M. The Tomato acquisition accelerates our platform-level expansion across the carriers and communications ecosystems that power global voice at scale.
This is a big day for Sanas, for the Tomato.ai team, and for everyone who believes voice deserves better infrastructure. Real-time speech is becoming something teams can actively shape, and we're thrilled to be building the layer that makes that possible. Welcome to the next chapter!
